The Félicien Rops museum makes its garden available to exhibit reproductions of black and white photographs by Pierre Dandoy, all from the same period and produced in the same place: the Brussels cabaret “Le Boeuf sur le Toit”.
From 1956 to 1962, Pierre Dandoy was a decorator in this theater and took the opportunity to set up his tripod and his film camera. Magnificent photos bear witness to these festive evenings: artists and actors at rest, in make-up, on stage. So many moments of intimacy, as Rops also liked to capture them with his pencil.
