Namur artists through the lens of Pierre Dandoy 6 July - 6 August 2023

The Delta exhibits a series of original photographic portraits of 20th century Namur artists.

This exhibition takes place as part of the tribute paid to Pierre Dandoy, who would have been 100 years old in 2022. Through his lens, he was able to immortalize a generation of artists, many of whom were first students of his father, Albert Dandoy, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Namur. Let us quote, for example, Luc Perot, Jeanne Salentiny and Michel Scheer. His pictures make us discover a typical variation of portraits. The portrait of the artist in his studio, revealing the precision of his artistic gesture; the official portrait, supporting the reputation of painters and sculptors or portraits showing a more intimate or fanciful staging.

These photographs will be embellished with some works made by the artists immortalized by the photographer.

from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
