We find the new creation of René Georges. Accompanied by musicians, he takes us on a hypnotic journey through time.
It’s all based on a true story about an ancestor from the Great Plains, east of the Rocky Mountains. The Man On The Picture is a unique beat whose rhythm of speech would be close to spoken word where three artistic languages mix: writing, music and singing. All punctuated with typically rap phrasing which gives the whole a lot of audacity and freedom and gives rise to a musical score which explodes standard formats.
René Georges reminds us of these subtle and spiritual links that exist between the visible and the invisible that our modern society has disintegrated from language. They invite us to reconnect with the world where the spirits, the souls of living and inanimate beings reside.
A free and wild, mineral and torrential performance that is good for the body and the mind. Never choose, as Patti Smith does, between poetry, singing and music.
A Namurois Focus. For what ? Because Namur is full of talented artists, because we want to talk about them, because we want you to know them! In two weeks, we offer four shows with different universes: The man on the picture, But what is your real job?, The plain, Through the stone.
