The RAVeL is a network of lanes reserved for slow-moving, non-motorised users: pedestrians, cyclists, people with reduced mobility, skaters and horse riders (when conditions allow).
“RAVeL” is a Walloon name for a Walloon network. Outside our borders, the term “greenways” is more commonly used.
The RAVeL is more than just infrastructure! It’s a genuine programme to promote the social, economic and cultural development of an entire region. It’s also a response to the problem of mobility. Finally, it’s a contribution to the implementation of a sustainable development policy at European level.
