Luc Templier’s artistic approach revolves around the pair “painting-writing”.
Whether in the books he draws and paints entirely on a single canvas, in his calligraphy or in tributes to famous painters, his performances in the form of conceptual “feats” touch on the sacred and poetry.
The techniques used give pride of place to the know-how of the ancients. By this search for perfection of these techniques – which does not exclude poetry –, the artist wants to awaken the emotion of the spectator.
Organized as part of Namur Confluent Culture, the exhibition is accompanied by a calligraphy workshop offered by the Municipal Library of Namur around words, writing and art.
The opportunity also to discuss the latest novel by Luc Templier entitled “The impostor” and to discover the paintings, drawings and calligraphy “of the artist for the first time!
