Relay for Life is a festive event, for all ages, during which we celebrate life.
It is centered around solidarity and fundraising for the fight against cancer.
For 24 hours, the inhabitants and actors of the associative life of a city or locality mobilize in order to: • celebrate and honor the people who have won, or are still fighting, against cancer; • pay tribute to people killed by cancer; • fighting cancer together.
For 24 hours, the team members take turns without interruption on a course. The teams are sponsored and organize fundraising activities. These take place before but also during the event, which contributes to a festive and friendly atmosphere.
During these 24 hours, at least one member of each team must always be present on the track. Relay for Life is not a competition. Above all, it is a warm meeting between people who wish to join forces in the fight against cancer. The event brings together all the actors of the associative life of a city or locality.
