Folklore - La Royale Moncrabeau / Les Molons

Founded in 1843, the Royale Moncrabeau is a “singing” society that combines pleasure and charity!

In 1851, the blind musician Nicolas Bosret wrote “Li Bia Bouquet” (Walloon for “the most beautiful bouquet”), which was recognised by the Town Council in 1856 as the official song of Namur.

While cultivating Walloon songs and musical fantasies, the Molons are philanthropists who help the hidden poor with tact, gentleness and the utmost discretion…
